Shore Steak, Central

The newest incarnation of one of Central’s most chic night spots, Shore Steak specializes in hand-reared steaks from around the world, with dishes beautifully created by chef Jason Black and matched to perfection by sommelier Alex Loisel. With the feel of a sophisticated New York steakhouse, Shore’s elegant semi-private room means you can have your own space, complete with views down Queens Rd Central, without missing out on the ambience outside. 208 Duecento Otto, Sheung Wan

Created by hotelier Yenn Wong, the woman responsible for bringing the first boutique hotel to Hong Kong when she opened JIA Hong Kong in Causeway Bay, 208 Duecento Otto brings simplistic yet elegant Italian fare with just a hint of the Big Apple to the up-and-coming neighborhood of Sheung Wan. A former meat storage warehouse, the restaurant is made up of a main upstairs dining room and a spacious bar serving antipasto downstairs. Grand Hyatt Steakhouse, Central

The new steakhouse at the iconic Grand Hyatt serves up prime cuts of beef from the U.S., Canada and Japan, as well as an impressive selection at a dedicated seafood & oyster bar and an elaborate salad bar. Steaks are cooked using a custom-built broiler heated to over 900 degrees, with the meat menu featuring choice cuts of Canadian Heritage Angus from Spirit River, Alberta; USDA Prime from Nebraska; Japanese Kumamoto Wagyu; as well as Dutch veal chops, U.S. lamb, roasted organic chicken, ocean prawns and line-caught fish. The steak restaurant has two elegant private rooms and one semi-private space that caters to eight. Finish off with a stogie in the adjacent cigar room. Inakaya, Kowloon

Located on the 101st floor of the new ICC Tower in Kowloon West, Inakaya offers stunning harbour views alongside authentic Japanese dishes created with passion and innovation. Start out with one of mixologist Yuya Sakamoto’s creations in Hive, the restaurant’s chic cocktail bar, before retiring to a private room that caters to 10. Ming Court, Langham Place, Mongkok

The two Michelin-starred Ming Court at chic Langham Place, Mongkok is one of the top Chinese restaurants in the city and features such delectable dishes as stir-fried prawns with grapefruit honey, deep-fried lobster with cheese, simmered abalone and vinegar, and Cantonese roasted goose.
